When dealing with drilling and the environment, a lot of the jobs depend heavily on the location and on what types of rotary drill bits are used.There are many different types of soil and different types of sediment formations; There are many different drill bits that are used in the industry.

Roller bits are a very common form of drill bit because there are a few different types of configurations for different locations and jobs. A claw bit is a drill bit that has a number of large fingers tipped with bullet shaped cutters. This kind of rotary drill is best at drilling through soft and medium unconsolidated formations. With environmental drilling, Citrus Hills consumers would use a claw bit for drilling  effectively through such ground such as sandstone, shale, or even gravel.

Another type of drill bit used is called a hammer bit. This drill is special in a sense that it does two jobs. The first is literally hammering into a surface to break it up, the second function is dragging diamond tipped cutters through that broken substance to break it up even finer. This drill bit is very effective in environmental drilling, Citrus hill residents would mostly see this drill bit used in harder formations like limestone or granite.

There are many different types of drill bits that are used in environmental drilling. These drill just happen to be for breaking up different rock formations, but there are even more drill bits for drilling wells in these different rock formations or sediments.
